Get your kayak powered up as affordably as possible. Works with virtually any kayak that has a "power-pole" style mounding space on the stern of their kayak. Old Town, Jackson, Native, Bonafide, Wilderness Systems, fishing kayaks nearly all have this mounting location.
We take a 45lb thrust Minn Kota salt water rated motor (55lb thrust available) and shorten the shaft to about 28" depending upon the application. Combine this with a universal joint tiller extension and you can easily control the motor from your kayak seat, without side mounting, or uncomfortable seating positions. We use a battery box, an Amped Outdoors Lithium 12V60AH battery, and a Yak Gadget bracket to complete the package. Motor can tilt for stowage, and the entire package weighs less than 40 lbs.
